Welcome Aboard! The Mountain Area Regional Transit Authority (Mountain Transit) provides local and Dial-a-Ride bus service to the Big Bear Valley, Running Springs, Lake Arrowhead, Crestline and Off-the-Mountain service to San Bernardino.


RIDER ALERT!

Due to CALTRANS road work throughout the Big Bear Valley, riders should expect delays. Buses can be up to 45 minutes late arriving at your stop. Please plan your trips accordingly.




Member-at-Large Position

The Mountain Area Regional Transit Authority (Mountain Transit) provides public transportation for the local mountain communities. Mountain Transit's Board of Directors is comprised of two City Council Members from the City of Big Bear Lake, two County Supervisors representing Districts 2 and 3 or their designee, and one Member-at-Large representing the local mountain communities. Mountain Transit's Board of Directors invites mountain residents interested in serving on the Board as the Member-at-Large to submit a letter of consideration containing pertinent qualifications and reason for desire to serve. Letters should be submitted to BettyAnn Merrill, Secretary of the Board, P.O. Box 1501, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315 by August 8, 2014. The Member-at-Large serves a two-year term. Meetings are monthly on the third Monday of each month at 1:00 p.m. and alternate between Big Bear Lake and Crestline. Candidates will be interviewed at the Board Meeting to be held August 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m., at Big Bear Lake City Hall, Training Room, 39707 Big Bear Blvd., Big Bear Lake, CA.
